The Curious Dog
One of the few remaining independent bookshops in Christchurch, The Curious Dog offers readers a wonderfully eclectic range of books across a broad mix of categories, from novels and biographies to cookbooks, children’s books and everything in between. Owners Caroline and Kate are keen to offer their expertise with picking or ordering a book to suit your needs. The pair of literary experts want to provide Christchurch with more than just a bookshop, and are creating a regular monthly hub for the curious-minded by hosting book launches, speakers, a book club and writing group.
In a desire to be as sustainable as possible, The Curious Dog has also started a second-hand books range where you can bring in three books in exchange for 25% off a new paperback book. The Curious Dog Bookshop is a colourful book world with literary gifts, local art and a good range of cards.
