Trade Aid
Shop for ethically sourced consumable goods and quality items for your home. Trade Aid is a Canterbury and New Zealand icon – establishing Fair Trade Business Standards in Aotearoa since the 1970s with a ‘people first’ ethos. The shop specialises in hand-made craft items, and produce from small farming groups. Fair Trade goods from around the world include coffee, tea, chocolate, textiles, toys, games, fashion accessories, jewellery, paper goods, and crafts. Trade Aid also loves to collaborate with local Fair Trade small businesses where possible, with a range of Kiwi fair trade ingredients available.
The store is all about helping talented artisans sell their craft globally for a fair price, and has been combining development and trade for over 40 years. Trade Aid donates to fundraisers for local supportive organisations including schools, The Vegan Society, and other good causes. Shoppers have the chance to travel vicariously through the Trade Aid store and support small community makers directly.
